The Keiser University women's indoor track & field team returns to competition this Friday at the Visit Gainesville Indoor Classic, hosted at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center in Gainesville, Florida. The meet will take place on Friday, Feb. 6, as the Seahawks continue to gain momentum early in the indoor season.
Keiser enters the meet following a strong showing at the Legends of Alachua County Invitational, highlighted by podium finishes, personal records, and national-qualifying marks. The Seahawks' throws group continues to lead the way, anchored by Niesha Aldajuste, who recorded a podium finish in the weight throw earlier this season.
On the track, the middle-distance and distance groups have shown steady progress. Camille Romero has delivered consistent performances in the 600 and 800 meters, while Eva Vrancken continues to build on a strong start to the season after setting a school record in the 3,000 meters.
The Seahawks will look to take advantage of another competitive field in Gainesville as they continue to chase improved marks and postseason opportunities.
