The Keiser University women's indoor track & field team continues its indoor season this weekend at the Legends of Alachua County Invitational, a two-day meet taking place Saturday and Sunday at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center in Gainesville, Florida. Competition will begin at 9:00 a.m. on both days as the Seahawks look to build on a strong showing in their previous meet.
Keiser enters the weekend with confidence following a productive performance at the RADD Sports College Invitational, highlighted by personal records, a school record, and a national-qualifying mark. The throws group will once again be led by Niesha Aldajuste, who met the NAIA B standard in the weight throw and secured an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships earlier this season. On the track, the Seahawks will look to continue momentum from the middle- and long-distance groups. Camille Romero opened the season with a personal-record performance in the 600 meters, while Eva Vrancken recently set a school record in the 3,000 meters, signaling continued progress in the distance events.
With two days of competition ahead, the Seahawks will aim to gain valuable experience, improve marks, and position themselves well as the indoor season moves forward.
