WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Keiser University softball team returns to Alumni Field this week for a pair of doubleheaders, beginning Thursday against No. 4 Georgia Gwinnett at 1:00 and 3:00 PM before hosting Florida National on Saturday at 12:00 and 2:00 PM.
The Seahawks enter the week at 11-1, continuing the strongest start in program history and looking to secure another top-10 victory this season. Keiser has emerged as one of the most statistically dominant teams in the NAIA, ranking fifth nationally in ERA (1.83), second in WHIP, and tied for fifth in triples (6).
Thursday's matchup with No. 4 Georgia Gwinnett presents a major early-season test. The Seahawks are 1-1 all-time against the Grizzlies, with the last meeting coming during the Spring Break Games in Auburndale, Fla., on February 17, 2019. Keiser dropped game one 10-2 before responding with a dramatic 3-2 extra-inning victory in game two.
Saturday's doubleheader against Florida National renews a familiar rivalry. Keiser is 8-8 all-time against the Conquistadors. The two programs split last season's series on April 4, 2025, with Keiser winning game one 7-4 before falling 4-3 in game two on the road.
With national rankings, individual leaders, and momentum on its side, Keiser will look to defend its home field and continue building on a historic start.
