LAKELAND, Fla. – The Keiser University softball team returns to action on Tuesday afternoon, traveling to Southeastern University in Lakeland for a neutral‑site doubleheader against Mobile (Ala.). First pitch is set for 1:00 PM, with Game Two scheduled for 3:00 PM. The Seahawks enter the contest at 9–1 following a competitive split with Mount Mercy on Saturday at Alumni Field. Keiser claimed a 6–5 comeback victory in Game One before falling 5–2 in the afternoon matchup.
Through ten games, the Seahawks have outscored opponents 49–24 and continue to showcase a balanced approach built on aggressive baserunning, timely hitting, and resilient pitching. Tuesday's matchup presents a significant opportunity for the program, as Keiser seeks its first-ever win over Mobile. The Seahawks are 0–4 all-time against the Rams, with the most recent meeting taking place on March 4, 2018, a 6–0 setback at the Gulf Shores Tournament. This week's doubleheader marks the first meeting between the programs in eight years, offering Keiser a chance to break through against a historically challenging opponent.
Despite Saturday's split, Keiser enters the week with strong momentum. The Seahawks continue to receive contributions throughout the lineup, led by a combination of power, speed, and consistent table-setting at the top of the order. On the mound, Keiser's staff owns a 5.00 team ERA through the last two contests and a season-long profile that still ranks among the strongest starts in program history. With a deep lineup, efficient pitching, and one of the NAIA's most aggressive baserunning units, Keiser looks to build on its standout opening stretch as it faces Mobile for the first time since 2018.
