The Keiser University softball team opens its home schedule this weekend with a challenging slate, hosting No. 6 Grand View University in a Friday doubleheader before traveling to Division II Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday. Friday's home opener will mark Keiser's first-ever home meetings with Grand View, a perennial national contender. Saturday's matchup sends Keiser to West Palm Beach to face Palm Beach Atlantic, a Division II program that was selected eighth in its conference preseason poll. Fridays game against Grand View will also be a NAIA SB featured Game of the Week.
The weekend presents an early-season opportunity for the Seahawks to test themselves against quality competition, opening their home campaign against a top-six NAIA opponent before facing a Division II foe on the road. First pitch for Friday's doubleheader against Grand View is scheduled for 1:00 PM at the Seahawks' Alumni Field, with Saturday's contest at Palm Beach Atlantic set for 12:00 PM.
