No. 1 Keiser University men's swimming & diving dominated senior day against Barry on Saturday afternoon, 162-58 at the Lake Lytal Family Aquatic Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. The Seahawks won eight individual events and took first in both relays.
Before the meet, the Seahawks honored their five seniors,
Austin Ackerman,
Jace Champlin,
Noel De Geus,
Jet Fuhrmann, and
Carlos Trinidad, for their dedication and impact on the program.
Keiser returns to action at the Sun Conference Championships on February 5-8 from the Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training Center in Ocala, Fla.
- The Seahawks finish the regular season with a 4-4 record in dual matches
- Keiser improves to 2-0 all-time against Barry
- The Seahawks went 1-2-3 to open the meet in the 200 Medley Relay
- Jamarr Bruno and Jarod Bruno went 2-3 in the 1650 Free as both earned qualifying times for nationals
- Malik neared a personal best time in his win in the 200 Free
- Keiser swept the top three spots in the 50 Free as Fuhrmann was followed closely by De Geus and Trinidad
- Avilan got his first official win as a diver with the Seahawks, scoring 308.55 points in the 1-Meter
- KU also swept the podium in the 100 Free with Aleksenko followed closely by Boeckmann and Marcel Setlak
- The crowd was on their feet for the 200 Free Relay as divers Avilan, Payton Whipple, Robin Scheuring, and Jace Champlin touched the wall at 1:50.74
