The Keiser women's basketball team is riding a wave of momentum as the Seahawks prepare to host Ave Maria in the Sun Conference Tournament Quarterfinals. The Seahawks enter the postseason on a five-game winning streak, highlighted by a statement victory over (rv) Florida Memorial, handing the Lions their first home loss of the season. Keiser capped off the regular season with a Senior Day win against Coastal Georgia, where Head Coach Pam Oswald honored the program's five graduating players for their dedication to the program.
Leading the charge offensively, senior guard Elliana Schaefer delivered a stellar week, averaging 17.0 points across two wins and bringing her career three-point total to 163—closing in on the program's all-time record and being named the Sun Offensive Player of the Week. On the defensive end, Elise Ellison anchored the Seahawks with 19 rebounds while contributing 21 points, including a 16-point performance in the season finale against Coastal Georgia.
