The Keiser University women's indoor track and field team placed fifth overall at the Sun Conference Indoor Championship in Gainesville, Fla. today. The Seahawks had one conference champion, and three All-Conference marks.
Niesha Aldajuste set a new conference record in the weight throw, and secured herself an A-standard nationals qualification. The Seahawks ended the meet with 47 total points.
"The team had outstanding performances this weekend, and I'm proud of the effort they put in," said head coach
Jamaine Gordon. "We'll carry this momentum into the outdoor season, but first, we need to focus on the task at hand at the NAIA Indoor Championships."
