Coach's Corner

Head Coach Cole Manion praised the team's growth and early-season performance:

"It was a great day of wrestling for the younger guys on the team. Just about everyone picked up some wins, with outstanding individual performances from Mako and Duly. The technique we're developing is showing up in key situations, and we just have to keep advancing. That will come with more time and experience. Duly was able to overcome a tough loss and had the mental fortitude to bounce back on the consolation side to earn the next best thing, finishing third in the bracket. Mako had a great match with the No. 12 wrestler in the country, but an escape at the buzzer caused us to come up short, 11–10. The fact that both of those guys are true freshmen shows the young talent and depth we're developing in West Palm Beach. We are going to have some really tough guys for years to come."

Up Next

The Seahawks returns to action on Saturday, December 13th, when the Seahawks travel to Gatlinburg, Tenn. to compete in the Rocky Top Duals. There they will compete in three duals against, Cornerstone University (Mich.), University of Rio Grande (Ohio), and Avila University (Mo.).
