MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The Keiser University women's volleyball team delivered a commanding performance on Wednesday evening, defeating Florida Memorial in straight sets (25-14, 25-18, 25-19) inside the FMU Wellness Center. The victory moved the Seahawks to 8-8 overall and 3-4 in Sun Conference action, while the Lions dropped to 0-15 on the season.
The Seahawks were efficient offensively from start to finish, hitting .375 as a team with 41 total kills while holding Florida Memorial to a .116 hitting percentage. Makenzi Bennett powered the attack with a match-high 11 kills on a .474 hitting percentage, adding five digs and a service ace to her all-around performance. She was joined by Aubree Valcourt, who tallied eight kills and one block assist, and Isabella Steffel, who finished with seven kills and a block. Cece Worsham continued her strong play, registering six kills on a .556 hitting clip and contributing six digs on the defensive side.
Running the offense, setter Mallory Dills dished out 20 assists and added four kills and three digs to her stat line. Keiser's serving game also made an impact, with five aces on the night, two of which came from libero Paryss Betts, who added five digs in the back row. Faith Marquis led the defense with nine digs while also chipping in seven assists, helping the Seahawks control rallies and transition quickly into their attack.
Keiser seized control early in each set and never allowed the Lions to gain momentum. The Seahawks totaled 49 points to Florida Memorial's 33 and out-dug their opponent 39-23, showing balance on both sides of the ball.

Keiser will return home this Saturday to host New College at 2:00 p.m. inside the Student Life Center.
