WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Keiser volleyball team fell in four sets to New College of Florida on Saturday afternoon inside the Student Life Center. The Seahawks opened strong, claiming the first set 25-15 before the Mighty Banyans answered back to take the next three sets by scores of 25-22, 25-23, and 25-20.
The match opened with Keiser displaying sharp offensive rhythm and energy. Behind quick ball movement and consistent serving, the Seahawks built momentum early, hitting .294 in the opening frame. Their efficiency at the net and strong finishes from multiple attackers set the tone, carrying into a competitive second set that featured long rallies and several lead changes before New College narrowly pulled ahead.
Keiser totaled 54 kills in the match, led by a balanced offensive performance across the lineup. Isabella Steffel and Cece Worsham each tallied 11 kills, while Hannah Mary Herrick matched their effort with 11 kills of her own, hitting .286 on 28 swings. Steffel stood out with her efficiency at the net, hitting .476 with only one error and contributing two total blocks. Aubree Valcourt added 10 kills on a .333 clip to round out a strong attacking core.
Setter Mallory Dills continued to be the steady hand guiding the Seahawks' offense, distributing 46 assists while adding two kills and four digs. Faith Marquis led the defensive effort from the back row with 16 digs and an ace, providing reliable coverage on serve receive and extending plays throughout the afternoon. Paryss Betts added 10 digs and an ace of her own, while Makenzi Bennett chipped in eight kills and 14 digs to contribute on both sides of the ball.
As a team, Keiser hit .230 with 60 digs, three service aces, and two blocks, showing strong effort despite the final result. The Seahawks controlled much of the tempo early in the match and showed poise through each rally, forcing New College to adjust and battle from behind after the first set.
