Saturday Sweep: Seahawks Roll Past Florida College, 3–0

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. — Keiser volleyball team rolled to a straight-set victory on Saturday afternoon, sweeping Florida College (25-19, 25-21, 25-19) on the road. With the win, the Seahawks move to 7-8 overall and 2-4 in Sun Conference action.

Keiser wasted little time setting the tone in the opening set. Behind serves from Mallory Dills and kills from Isabella Steffel and Cece Worsham, the Seahawks jumped out to a 13-3 lead. Florida College strung together a small run midway through, but Keiser never allowed the Falcons closer than five, closing out the set 25-19.

The second set was the most competitive of the afternoon. The Falcons matched Keiser point-for-point early, with three ties and two lead changes highlighting the frame. Clutch kills from Aubree Valcourt and Worsham steadied the Seahawks late, and a service ace from Makenzi Bennett sealed the 25-21 win.

In the third, Keiser once again raced out to an early advantage thanks to back-to-back aces from Bennett. Valcourt and Steffel powered the offensee with efficient swings, and the Seahawks' defense turned back multiple Falcon attempts at a rally. Keiser held firm down the stretch, securing the sweep with another 25-19 final.

Steffel led the way with 10 kills while hitting .421, adding three block assists.  Worsham paced the offense with 11 kills and chipped in eight digs, while Valcourt provided balance with nine kills on an impressive .438 hitting percentage along with three blocks. Dills ran the offense with precision, dishing out 30 assists, collecting five digs, and adding a kill of her own. On the back line, Marquis anchored the defense with 13 digs, and Makenzi Bennett chipped in 10 more.

As a unit, the Seahawks finished with 37 kills, six aces, and eight blocks while holding Florida College to just a .061 attack percentage. Keiser also won the battle in digs, 54-46, and outscored the Falcons 75-59 across the three sets.

Keiser continues its road stretch with a matchup at Florida Memorial on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 7:00 p.m.
