Men's Lacrosse Reveals 2025 Schedule

The Keiser men's lacrosse team unveiled its 2025 schedule Thursday. The back-to-back defending champs have eleven regular season games, including four at the Keiser Multi-Purpose Field in West Palm Beach, Florida. This season is the inaugural NAIA National Championship, where the Seahawks look forward to compete in after back-to-back Invitational championships.

In 2024, KU lacrosse finished the season with a 17-2 record, recording a perfect 4-0 mark on the road. On the road the Seahawks took down No. 8 William Penn, No. 4 University of Cumberlands (Ky.), No. 2 Indiana Tech and No. 3 Webber Int'l. The Seahawks went on to claim their second consecutive NAIA National Invitational Championship. Keiser defeated undefeated Reinhardt in a 12-11 victory. Ryan Rundle scored the game-winning goal, which set a new program record in goals scored. This was the first time Keiser has defeated Reinhardt outside of West Palm Beach, Fla. The season concluded with another number of program records being broken. Four Seahawks were named NAIA All-Americans: AJ Badik, Jackson Marshall, Ryan Rundle, and Reese Niemeier.

Badik, Marshall, Rundle and Niemeier will all be making their return in 2025 along with defenders Ethan Acosta, Shane Cassidy, and Zach Crotwell. The Keiser defense broke two records this season, recording 633 ground balls and 201 caused turnovers. Additionally, the NAIA National Invitational Championship Tournament MVP, Lucas Green will be back in net for KU. Green recorded a school-record 22 saves, including a critical one with 26 seconds to go to seal the victory.

After serving as the assistant coach last year, Jeff Desko enters his first season as head coach in 2025. Desko's offense broke numerous records last season including goals scored (309), assists (195), shots on goal (571), and man-up goals (41). When asked about the upcoming season, Desko had this to say "These men have worked extremely hard on the field and in the classroom this Fall. With a loaded conference schedule, each game has importance and we expect to get everyone's best." "We know each year is different, so while we can rely on our past experience to help us through adversity, we know we have to work extremely hard to have an opportunity to reach our goal this year. Excited to get back out on the field and see what this team can do!"
