No. 1 Men's Lacrosse

Jeff Desko Named 2025 NAIA Men's Lacrosse Coach of the Year

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 2025 Men's Lacrosse Coach of the Year winner on Thursday with Keiser's Jeff Desko earning the honor.

The award marks the first for Coach Desko in his Keiser career. Desko becomes the second Keiser coach to earn the nation's top honor (Patrick Johnston - 2022, 2023).

  • Earned the first NAIA Coach of the Year honor of his career 
  • Becomes the second Keiser coach to earn the nation's top honor (Patrick Johnston - 2022, 2023)
  • Guided Keiser to its third consecutive National Title and the first of the Men's Lacrosse Championship Era in the NAIA 
  • Led the Seahawks to a 15-1 overall record
  • Coached four NAIA All-Americans (AJ Badik, Ryan Rundle, Shane Cassidy, Vincent Cerasuolo)
  • Entered the NAIA National Championship Tournament as the No. 1 seed
  • Keiser out-scored the opposition, 268-132, this season
  • Coached five All-AAC Honorees (Badik, Rundle, Cassidy, Cerasuolo, and Kegan Hufford)
  • Led Keiser to its second AAC Tournament title with an 11-9 win over the Cumberlands (Ky.) 
  • Keiser was ranked No. 1 in the NAIA for most of the 2025 season
  • Guided the Seahawks to their third straight season of 15-or-more wins
  • Keiser finished the season ranked No. 4 in the nation in goals scored (268) and No. 2 in the NAIA in goals per game (17.87)
  • Defensively, the Seahawks ranked No. 7 in the nation in goals allowed (132)
  • Keiser ranked No. 5 in the nation with a team goals against average of 8.91
  • The Seahawks were the only team in the nation with fewer than two losses on the year
  • The Seahawks finished the year 7-1 against ranked opponents
  • Keiser closed out 2025 with the nation's longest winning streak (eight games)
