Keiser Men's Track and Field Reveals 2023-24 Schedule

The Keiser men's track and field team announced its 2023-24 track and field schedule this afternoon. The season will begin at the Keiser University Flagship Twilight Invitational on December 8, 2023. The KU men will compete in six meets during the indoor season and eight meets during the outdoor portion.
  • The Seahawks will participate in three meets hosted by NCAA Division I schools.
  • The Sun Conference Indoor Championship will be held on February 16-17 in Gainesville, Fla.
  • The NAIA Indoor National Championship will take place on February 29-March 2nd in Brookings, S.D
  • The Sun Conference Outdoor Championships will go from April 27-28 in Miami Gardens, Fla.
  • The 2024 NAIA Outdoor Championships are slated for May 22-24 on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan. 

In 2022-23, the Seahawk men had a successful indoor season, finishing the season ranked No. 3 in the country by the USTFCCCA. Four Seahawks (Tom Paris, Jerome Luckey, Omario Windett) became conference champions, and Cole Wilson finished as the national champion in the heptathlon. Eight of his teammates (Noam Pritchett, Nigel Steenwinkel, Emil Carlsson, Tom Paris, Jerome Baker, Cliff Desir, Vindero Lightfoot, Omario Windett) were named NAIA All-Americans in their respective events. Assistant coach David Claybrooks was honored as the South Region Men's Assistant Coach of the Year by the USTFCCCA. The Seahawks excelled in the classroom as well, with Julien David, Darin Hinshaw, Patrick Peel, Noam Pritchett, and Cole Wilson all honored as Sun Conference All-Academic Team members.

When the weather warmed and outdoor season began, the Seahawks continued to achieve, netting 15 SUN All-Conference honors and five conference champions (Carrington Kirby, Noam Pritchett, Tom Paris, Tim De Greef, Julien David). Four KU athletes (Cole Wilson, Tom Paris, Nigel Steenwinkel, Julien David) ended the year as NAIA All-Americans. The Seahawk men finished the outdoor season ranked No. 8 in the country. Throughout the year, KU athletes set 16 new program records. Keiser remained consistent off the track with Isaac Franklin, Darin Hinshaw, Patrick Peel, Tom Paris, Noam Pritchett, and Cole Wilson selected as Sun Conference All-Academic team members.

"I can't wait for the upcoming season for the men's program! We had an incredible year last year, and I truly believe we'll be in an even better position this season," said head coach Jamaine Gordon. "We've made some exciting additions to the team and coaching staff which will give our team a chance to showcase their skills at a higher level."
