No. 1-ranked Keiser put together a balanced offensive showcase Saturday afternoon at KU Football Field, racking up 642 total yards and scoring on six straight possessions to run away from Cumberlands (Ky.), 58-21.
 
The Seahawks (2-1) found the end zone in every quarter, getting touchdowns through the air, and on the ground, while the defense forced three turnovers to help seal the win. Cumberlands falls to 4-1 with the loss.
 
Cumberlands struck first, going 60 yards in eight plays to cap the opening quarter's opening drive with a 17-yard touchdown pass from Drew Gregg to Cade Lamb. Keiser answered in stunning fashion on the ensuing kickoff return possession, needing just one play as Dallas Desouza broke free for a 75-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 7-7 with under a minute left in the first.
 
From there, the Seahawks took control. Quarterback JT Tabora connected with Julian Garcia for an 18-yard score and Israel Marion for a 49-yarder to push the lead to 20-7, and Dorian Hall added a 33-yard field goal just before halftime to make it 23-7 at the break.
 
Cumberlands pulled within 23-14 early in the third quarter, but Keiser responded with 21 unanswered points before the period ended. Raphael Ekechi punched in a short touchdown run, Tabora found Desouza again - this time for a 76-yard strike - and Jontay Hais capped the flurry with a 15-yard touchdown run, extending the margin to 44-14 entering the fourth quarter.
 
The Seahawks didn't let up in the final period. Ekechi scored his second rushing touchdown of the day, and backup quarterback Damari Charlton hit Terrance Smith, Jr. for a 13-yard score to push the lead to 58-14 before Cumberlands added a late touchdown pass from Gregg to Carter Stewart to set the final margin at 58-21.
 
The Seahawks hit the road to take on the Thomas (Ga.) Night Hawks on Saturday, October 3. Game time from Veteran's Memorial Stadium in Thomasville, Georgia, is set for 4:00 PM.
