Keiser volleyball rolled to a Sun Conference sweep on Wednesday night, taking down Ave Maria 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-22) at home in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Cece Worsham led the Seahawks' attack, hitting .407 for the match with a team-high 15 kills on just 27 swings and only four errors, good for a match-high 16.5 points. She rounded out the stat line with eight digs, a service ace and a block assist.
Amelia Langelier and Addison Chapman each added five kills - Langelier hitting .125 with three block assists and four digs for 6.5 points, while Chapman was sharper at .300 and chipped in two block assists for 6.0 points. Aubree Valcourt was right there as well, finishing with four kills and a team-high five block assists for 6.5 points, and Hannah Mary Herrick was efficient in support, going 3-for-7 hitting (.286) with a block assist for 3.5 points.
Makenzi Bennett anchored the back row, leading Keiser with 10 digs and adding three service aces and a block assist for 1.5 points, while Marina Maia was flawless in limited touches, going 2-for-3 with no errors (.667) for 2.0 points.
Setters Mallory Dills and Amie Molina combined for 30 assists running the Keiser offense, with Dills also adding four digs and three service aces, and Molina contributing three digs of her own. Paryss Betts came off the bench to stuff the defensive stat sheet with six digs.
Keiser hit .217 as a team (35 kills, 17 errors on 83 swings) and held Ave Maria to a -.033 clip, winning the kill battle 35-22 and forcing 25 attack errors. Greta Heiney paced Ave Maria's offense with seven kills, with Emily Child adding four and Lillian Dauses chipping in three.
