The Keiser volleyball team lost 3-1 at Southeastern on Saturday, falling 25-22, 25-19, 20-25, 25-23 in a Sun Conference volleyball match at The Furnace on Saturday.
The Seahawks fell to 5-7 overall and 2-2 in the Sun Conference. The Fire improved to 9-3 and 3-0.
Makenzi Bennett and Cece Worsham each had 13 kills to lead Keiser. Worsham hit .237 with four errors in 38 attempts and added 12 digs and an ace. Bennett had 18 digs, two aces and a team-high 15 points. Mallory Dills had 33 assists, two aces and 11 digs, and Amie Molina added 13 assists and 10 digs. Reese Jones led the Seahawks with 21 digs. Aubree Valcourt had five blocks, all assists, and Amelia Langelier had eight kills and four block assists. Addison Chapman and Hannah Mary Herrick each had seven kills and four block assists.
Southeastern's Laura Bonomi had a match-high 17 kills and 20 digs, though she hit .098 with 11 errors in 61 attempts. Haven Speer had 46 assists and three aces, Mallori Grey had 34 digs and Jillian Zoerman had 12 kills.
Keiser hit .135 with 32 attack errors, and Southeastern hit .151 with 24 errors. Keiser had 9 blocks to the Fire's 7 and 92 digs to their 87.
The Seahawks will host the Ave Maria Gyrenes on Wednesday, Sept. 23. Game time from the Student Life Center is set for 6:30 PM.
