Keiser Volleyball Rallies Past Webber International in Four Sets on the Road

Keiser volleyball picked up a Sun Conference road win on Saturday afternoon, knocking off Webber International 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-20, 25-16) at Babson Park, Fla.

Hannah Mary Herrick paced the Seahawks' attack, hitting .308 for the match with 10 kills on just 26 swings and only two errors, good for a team-high-tying 10.5 points. Aubree Valcourt was right behind her, hitting .316 with nine kills and adding two block assists for 10.0 points, while Makenzi Bennett turned in the most complete stat line of the night — nine kills, three service aces, and a match-high 13 digs for 12.0 points.

Cece Worsham stuffed the stat sheet as well, finishing with seven kills, a team-high 14 digs, a solo block and three block assists for 10.5 points. Amelia Langelier added seven kills and four digs, and Addison Chapman anchored the middle with two solo blocks and four block assists to go with four kills.

Setters Mallory Dills and Amie Molina combined for 39 assists running the Keiser offense, with Dills also chipping in nine digs and Molina adding nine of her own. Reese Jones filled up the defensive stat sheet with a team-high 16 digs and six assists on the night, and Daniela Cruz Sánchez was efficient in a limited role, adding two service aces.

Keiser weathered a back-and-forth second set that Webber took 25-21, but bounced back to take the third and fourth sets comfortably. The Seahawks hit .148 as a team, outpacing Webber's .079 clip, and won the kill battle 48-46 while forcing 33 attack errors from the host Warriors. Cristina Marrero (10 kills) and Ninette Romero Lopez (10 kills) led Webber's attack, with Lucianna Marinella adding eight kills and 21 assists.
