Harry T. Moore Field - Miami Gardens, Fla.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.Sebastien Germano earned his fourth win of the season and a pair of runs in the eighth inning proved to be the difference as Keiser held off Florida Memorial 7-6 on Thursday afternoon at Harry T. Moore Stadium.

Keiser jumped ahead with a four-run second inning. Chris Sorge led off with a single to left field and Avery Doezie followed with a bunt single, putting runners on first and second. After Maddox Shaver and Karson Nadal struck out, Andres Balart laid down a bunt and reached when the catcher's throw sailed into the outfield, allowing both Sorge and Doezie to score. Elian Collado was then hit by a pitch, and Jeremy Garcia followed with a two-run double down the right field line to push the lead to 4-0.

Florida Memorial answered with two runs in the bottom of the second. Pheron Charlton singled up the middle, stole second and third, and then scored along with Daniel Lopez on a two-out, two-RBI double through the left side by Don McKnight III to cut the deficit to 4-2.

Noah Eatman was pulled in the third inning with one out and runners on first and second, and Jake Billings came on to escape that jam without allowing a run. Billings opened the fourth by walking Charlton and Lopez before Germano entered. Both runners stole during the at-bat of Don McKnight III, who was then walked to load the bases. A walk to Armando Ramirez forced in Charlton, and a sacrifice fly by Wilber Puertas scored Lopez to tie the game at four, with both runs charged to Billings. Germano then worked out of a bases-loaded jam to end the inning without allowing a run of his own.

Keiser retook the lead in the fifth when Jake Olsen singled through the left side with two outs to score Elian Collado, who had led off with a single to left-center and moved to second on a Jeremy Garcia sacrifice bunt, to make it 5-4. Florida Memorial responded in the bottom half as Damarion Butler singled and moved to third when Pheron Charlton's bunt single was followed by a throwing error by third baseman Tad Brooks. A wild pitch moved Charlton to second before Daniel Lopez singled to left field to score both runners and give the Lions a 6-5 lead. Lopez was thrown out trying to advance to second to end the threat, and Germano stranded Armando Ramirez at third to get out of the inning.

The Seahawks reclaimed the lead for good in the eighth inning against reliever Esteban Jogins. Sorge led off with a hit by pitch and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Doezie. Shaver was then hit by a pitch, and Nadal singled to left field to load the bases. A wild pitch scored Sorge before Jaden Ross, pinch hitting for Andres Balart, singled through the right side to score Shaver and push Keiser ahead 7-6.

Garcia led the offense going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Olsen finished 2-for-5 with an RBI, while Collado reached base three times and scored twice from the leadoff spot. Sorge went 1-for-2 with two hit by pitches and scored twice, and Ross delivered in his only plate appearance with the go-ahead pinch-hit single.
