WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — (rv) Keiser baseball dropped the series finale to No. 25 St. Thomas 13-1 on Sunday, closing out the final home game of the season at Silvester Jr. Field.

St. Thomas struck first in the top of the first when Lester Martinez launched a solo home run to left field. Keiser responded immediately in the bottom half, as Jeremy Garcia led off with a solo shot to right field, knotting the game at one.

The tie proved short-lived as the Bobcats erupted for six runs in the second inning, sending 10 batters to the plate. Starter Jake Molloy was pulled mid-inning after allowing three runs on a string of singles, including a two-RBI hit from Luis Suarez. Reliever Sebastien Germano entered but couldn't stop the bleeding, as Lester Martinez doubled in two more runs — one of which was unearned due to a left field error — before Alan Nava added a run-scoring groundout to cap the frame. Molloy takes the loss and falls to 2-2 on the season.

St. Thomas tacked on two more in the third on a sacrifice fly from Keuri Martinez and an RBI single from Daytan Biegel, then added two runs each in the fifth and sixth to push the final to 13-1. Germano, Bastyan Hernandez, and Allen Leitner combined to finish the game in relief for Keiser.

Offensively, Chris Sorge went 2-for-3 as the designated hitter, and Garcia's first-inning home run accounted for Keiser's only run of the afternoon. The Seahawks finished with four hits, committed two errors, and stranded seven runners on base.

With the loss, the Seahawks prepare to close out the regular season on the road at Florida Memorial next week, starting Thursday, April 23rd.
