Men's Outdoor Track and Field Casey Wood earned the program's fifth weekly honor of the season, being named Sun Conference Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Casey Wood, Third Year, Thrower, Punta Gorda, Fla.
- Finished 1st in the Shot Put with a throw of 16.58m, meeting the NAIA National B Standard
- Added a 2nd-place finish in the Discus with a mark of 41.14m
- Also recorded a 2nd-place finish in the Hammer Throw with a throw of 38.47m
- Led Keiser's throws group with multiple podium finishes and key points toward the team title
The Seahawks will now get ready to compete in the Sun Conference Championships on April 25th and April 26th in Lakeland, Fla.
