Rundle Makes history on Senior Day as the Seahawks Defeat the Eagles, 25-6

The Keiser Men's Lacrosse team decisively defeated Reinhardt University 25-6 on Saturday at the Multi Purpose Field. The Seahawks improved to 9-0 overall and 8-0 in conference play, while Reinhardt fell to 6-2 overall and 5-2 in conference. Senior Ryan Rundle became the school's all-time leader in points (224), producing 10 in the blowout victory.

The opening quarter saw Keiser establish early control against Reinhardt with an offensive performance. Kyle Davis scored the first goal at 12:31, setting the tone for the home team's momentum. Rundle followed up with another goal shortly after, widening the lead. The Seahawks continued to press, with AJ Badik adding a third goal at 7:47, assisted by Rundle.

Despite Reinhardt's response with a goal from Luke Greer at 9:47, Keiser maintained its dominance. JP Prather, Cole Nappi, and Ryan Stowell each contributed to the scoring, pushing the tally to seven by the end of the quarter. The Seahawks finished the first quarter with a 7-1 lead over Reinhardt.

Keiser surged ahead in the second quarter with a dominant offensive performance, scoring seven unanswered goals. Rundle initiated the scoring just 20 seconds in, assisted by Davis. The team capitalized on multiple extra-man opportunities, with Badik netting two man-up goals, and Marek Albiero adding another, all within a three-minute span.

The Seahawks made a strong start in the third quarter with Badik scoring a goal just 32 seconds in, assisted by Albiero. They continued their momentum with Albiero and Kegan Hufford each adding goals, with Hufford's coming from an assist by Davis, increasing their lead. Despite a response from Reinhardt with a goal by McDowell, Keiser remained in control.

Rundle extended Keiser's advantage with a goal at 1:38, assisted by Davis. Badik added another goal shortly after, with an assist from Rundle, to solidify the Seahawks' position. The quarter concluded with Keiser leading 20-4.

Keiser dominated the fourth quarter with a series of key offensive plays. Matthew Essig initiated the scoring with a goal at the 9:00 mark, assisted by Badik. This was quickly followed by Prather's goal, set up by Hufford, at 7:59.

The Seahawks continued to control the game as Rundle contributed three goals, showcasing his scoring ability, with assists from Nappi and Albiero. Despite a late goal from Reinhardt's Benjamin Shackelford, Keiser secured a decisive victory with a final score of 25-6.

The Seahawks will face Webber Int'l on Saturday, April 18 at 1 p.m. at the Warrior Turf Field in Babson Park, Fla.
