MIRAMAR, Fla. — The Keiser University women's outdoor track and field team competed at the Nova Southeastern University Shark Invitational on Friday, March 28, highlighted by a school record in the pole vault and a standout multi-event performance from sprinter Gracie Zacarias.
Elizabeth Butrica delivered the signature moment of the women's meet, clearing 3.15 meters to claim first place in the pole vault. The mark set a new Keiser school record and a personal best for Butrica, who continues to establish herself as one of the program's premier field event competitors.
Zacarias was equally impressive across the sprint events, competing in three races and setting personal records in two of them. She posted a runner-up finish in the 200m dash with a personal-best 24.98, then followed with another PR in the 400m (1:00.28) to place seventh. She also competed in the 100m dash, finishing 12th with a time of 12.65.
In the throws, Trinity Dorvil had a productive all-around day. She earned a bronze medal in the discus with a personal-best throw of 34.63m, placed second in the hammer with a mark of 38.00m, and added a fifth-place finish in the shot put (8.91m). Eva Vrancken represented Keiser in the distance events, finishing fifth in the 5,000m with a time of 21:06.91. Jordane Walter rounded out the field event contributors with an eighth-place finish in the high jump (1.27m) and a fifth-place showing in the long jump (4.72m).

The Seahawks will return to competition on Friday, April 11, traveling to Miramar, Fla. to compete at the HBCU Relays Experience.
