The Keiser women's outdoor track and field team turned in several strong performances at the Southeastern Spring Break Meet, highlighted by podium finishes, personal records, and solid performances across the sprint, distance, and field events.
Jessica Dixon paced the Seahawks on the track, finishing second in the 200 meters with a time of 24.80. Teammate Gracie Zacarias also delivered a strong performance in the event, finishing fourth with a personal-best time of 25.28.
Both athletes also competed in the 100-meter dash, with Zacarias finishing sixth in 12.63 and Dixon placing seventh with a time of 12.68.
Gema Del Valle represented Keiser in both the 200 meters and 400 meters, placing ninth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:04.04 and finishing 14th in the 200 meters.
In the distance events, Eva Vrancken posted a personal-best performance in the 5000 meters, finishing eighth with a time of 20:38.83. Vrancken also competed in the 800 meters later in the meet.
The Seahawks also saw strong performances in the throws from Trinity Dorvil. Dorvil placed sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 38.21 meters, seventh in the discus with a throw of 29.56 meters, and sixth in the shot put with a mark of 10.01 meters.
In the combined events, Jordane Walter competed in the heptathlon, finishing fourth overall with 2,791 points. Walter recorded marks of 18.31 in the 100-meter hurdles, 1.37 meters in the high jump, and 8.31 meters in the shot put during the multi-event competition.

The Seahawks return to action next weekend at the University of South Florida Alumni Invitational in Tampa, Fla. The two-day meet will begin Friday, March 20 at 10:00 a.m. and continue Saturday, March 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the USF Track & Field Stadium.
