Women's Basketball Dominates Warner 73-40 in Mid-Week Action

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. –  Keiser women's basketball cruised to a 73-40 victory over Warner University at the Student Life Center. The win improved the Seahawks to 16-5 overall and 8-3 in conference play.

The Seahawks started slowly on offense, missing their first three shots and struggling to find their rhythm early. Keiser managed just 4-of-19 shooting in the opening quarter but still built an 11-2 lead thanks to defense that forced seven Warner turnovers. From there, the Seahawks found their offensive flow, extending the lead to 27-10 by halftime. Keiser's defense held Warner to just 25.0% shooting from the field while the Seahawks shot just 38.5% and knocked down 7-of-19 three-pointers for the game.

Four Seahawks reached double figures, led by Satori Griffin's game-high 18 points. Griffin was efficient from beyond the arc, hitting 4-of-6 three-pointers while adding three rebounds and two blocks in 26 minutes. Her 8-point second quarter helped Keiser stretch the lead to 17 points by the break.

Caidyn Cannon, Avrie Schmidt, and Emelia O'Gilvie each contributed 12 points. Cannon dominated in the paint with 6-of-10 shooting, grabbed seven rebounds, and swatted away three shots. Schmidt added five rebounds and went 5-of-10 from the field, providing energy on both ends. 

O'Gilvie stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, seven rebounds, and a team-high six assists, showcasing her all-around game by adding two steals while connecting on 2-of-4 from three-point range.

Keiser's defensive forced 20 turnovers and converting them into 24 points. The Seahawks recorded nine steals and six blocks while holding Warner to just 40 points. The Seahawks dominated the paint with 28 points and controlled the glass despite being outrebounded 47-39 by the Royals. Keiser's ball security was considered fantastic, committing just five turnovers compared to Warner's 20.

Mahiro Oyama came off the bench for the Seahawks contributing six points, all from the free-throw line where she went 6-of-8. Oyama also dished out five assists in 21 minutes.

Keiser led by as many as 37 points in the fourth quarter, clearing the bench and giving extended minutes to reserves. The Seahawks' largest lead came at the 6:52 mark of the final period, showcasing the complete dominance they maintained throughout the contest.
