No. 1 Women’s Tennis Opens Season at ITA NAIA National Team Indoor Championship

The No. 1 Keiser women's tennis will travel to Rome, Georgia, for the ITA NAIA National Women's Team Indoor Championships, beginning Friday, February 6, and concluding Sunday, February 8. First serve for Friday's opening match against No. 13 Holy Cross College (Ind.) is set for 11:00 a.m. 

About the Seahawks
  • After some early schedule changes, Friday's match against Holy Cross College (Ind.) marks the first match of the 2026 season for Keiser
  • Violet Apisah leads the Seahawks after making history by winning her 3rd ITA Cup singles national championship, becoming the first women's player in tournament history to accomplish the feat
  • Keiser is one of eight teams participating in the tournament, with No. 13 Holy Cross College rounding out the field
  • Keiser enters the tournament as the top-ranked team in the NAIA, earning eight first-place votes in the latest poll

Seahawks Against the Opponent
Postseason Record: Keiser is 39-18 all-time in NAIA postseason play and a perfect 6-0 at the ITA NAIA National Women's Team Indoor Championship.
Scouting the Field: Keiser opens the tournament against No. 13 Holy Cross College (Ind.), who enters the tournament with an 0-1 record this season. Friday's match will mark the first-ever meeting between the two programs. If the Seahawks advance, they will face the winner of No. 5 Tennessee Wesleyan University and No. 6 Loyola University (La.). Keiser holds a perfect 3-0 all-time record against Tennessee Wesleyan, while it would be the first meeting against Loyola.
