Aldajuste, Van Dam Lead Women's Indoor Track and Field to Third Place at Sun Conference Championship

The Keiser women's indoor track & field team capped the Sun Conference Championship with a strong final day, finishing third overall with 82 team points.

Saturday was highlighted by multiple podium finishes and two major program records.

Niesha Aldajuste delivered a championship-caliber performance in the weight throw, placing second with a school-record mark of 18.08 meters, achieving the NAIA A standard. Her throw further cements her position among the nation's top competitors.

In the hurdles, Romee Van Dam placed second in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking 8.80, which set a new school record and met the NAIA B standard.

The Seahawks added more podium finishes in the field as Makiya Thornton placed second in the triple jump (10.70m) and Elizabeth Butrica earned second in the pole vault (3.10m). Jordane Walter also contributed points with a sixth-place finish in the triple jump.

On the track, Camille Romero finished fourth in the 600 meters (1:39.66), while Eva Vrancken added scoring in the 3,000 meters.

The women's squad combined record-breaking performances with consistent scoring across events to secure a third-place conference finish.
