WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – No. 24 Keiser baseball picked up a doubleheader sweep over Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) on Friday afternoon at Silvester Jr. Field, claiming the opener 11-1 before walking it off in a 4-3 victory in nine innings. The Seahawks improved to 9-4 on the season with the two wins.
In the opener, Austin Taylor earned the win after tossing 3.2 innings, allowing just one earned run on five hits while striking out two batters. Seth Broadwell came on in relief and was dominant, retiring all 10 batters he faced over 3.1 scoreless innings and striking out five to close out the victory.
The Sehawks offense wasted no time, erupting for five runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looking back. Tad Brooks was the offensive catalyst in the opener, going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Andres Balart put together one of the best performances of the day, going 1-for-1 with three RBI and drawing two walks in four plate appearances. Alex Getz did his damage from the eight-hole, singling through the left side with two outs in the first to plate two runners and finishing with three RBI on the day. Jeremy Garcia added a clutch two-run single to center field in the sixth inning to cap the scoring. The first inning was fueled by Embry-Riddle starter Eberly's command issues, as he hit four Keiser batters and allowed the Seahawks to send 11 men to the plate.
The nightcap was a tighter affair, but the Seahawks showed their resilience by coming from behind to secure the 4-3 win in nine innings. Keiser starter Bastyan Hernandez was solid in 4.1 innings of work, allowing just one earned run on five hits while striking out four. Carson Hawkes came on in relief and delivered the performance of the night, going 4.2 innings and allowing just two runs — one earned — on three hits while striking out seven to earn his fourth win of the season, improving to 4-0.
Embry-Riddle struck first with a solo home run to left field to make it 1-0. Keiser answered in the bottom of the second as Tad Brooks singled up the middle and Cameron Hancock worked a walk before Maddox Shaver lined a two-run double to right field to give the Seahawks a 2-1 lead. Hancock then tagged and scored on a flyout to make it 3-1, with Elian Collado — pinch running for Karson Nadal — stealing second and scoring on a Jeremy Garcia single up the middle. Errors proved costly in the sixth, however, when Embry-Riddle took advantage of two Keiser miscues to score two unearned runs and tie the game at 3-3. Hawkes kept the Eagles off the board the rest of the way, and Keiser walked it off in the ninth as Jake Olsen reached on a fielder's choice that scored Collado — who had entered as a pinch runner — to deliver the 4-3 victory and complete the sweep.

- Keiser improves to 9-4 after sweeping the doubleheader today
- The Keiser pitching staff was nearly perfect in game one's final three innings, as Seth Broadwell retired all 10 batters he faced over 3.1 scoreless innings without allowing a hit while striking out five
- Andres Balart was one of the most productive hitters in the doubleheader despite rarely putting the ball in play, finishing game one 1-for-1 with three RBI and two walks — reaching base in all four plate appearances
- Embry-Riddle starter Eberly lasted just two-thirds of an inning in game one, hitting four of the seven batters he faced
- All five runs he was charged with came via hit-by-pitch, error, and wild pitch — Keiser did not need extra-base hits to blow the game open
- Alex Getz drove in three runs in game one on a single with two outs and the bases loaded in the first inning, delivering the biggest hit of the early onslaught.
- Carson Hawkes improved to 4-0 on the season after his 4.2-inning relief appearance in game two, striking out seven and allowing just one earned run. He has yet to lose a decision in 2026

The Seahawks will finish their four-game series with the Eagles tomorrow at 11:00 AM.
