The No. 6 Keiser Seahawks put together a dominant performance on both ends of the floor Wednesday night, defeating Coastal Georgia 97-70 at the Student Life Center. The victory improved Keiser's record to 15-3 overall and 6-2 in Sun Conference play, while the Mariners fell to 8-10 and 2-6 in conference action.

Keiser's offense found its rhythm midway through the first period behind strong play from Camerin James and balanced scoring throughout the lineup. Mathew Shea provided an offensive spark off the bench, connecting on two three-pointers and finishing with 10 points on a 4-for-4 shooting performance. The Seahawks closed the half on a 6-0 run, capped by Loghan Downie's three-point play in the final seconds, taking a 45-39 lead into the locker room.

The second half belonged entirely to the Seahawks. Keiser exploded out of halftime with an 18-8 run over the opening six minutes, highlighted by Jackson Slater and Nadir Myers' playmaking. The lead ballooned to 59-47 as the Seahawks' defense locked down, holding Coastal Georgia to just 31 points in the second period. James took over the game in the second half, scoring 17 of his game-high 25 points after the intermission while shooting 6-for-6 from the field. He was unstoppable in the paint and added five blocked shots to anchor Keiser's defense. By the 11-minute mark of the second half, Keiser had stretched the lead to 74-58, and the outcome was no longer in doubt. The Seahawks cruised to the finish, with their largest lead reaching 27 points with under a minute remaining.

Keiser is back in Miami Gardens on Saturday afternoon to take on St. Thomas. Tipoff from the Fernandez Family Center is set for 4:00 p.m.
