In their first game holding the No. 1 ranking since 2022, Keiser women's soccer earned a 2-0 shutout over No. 2 William Carey in Foley, Alabama.
Blanca Bächi scored her fourth goal in four games to open the scoring just before the half. On the other side of the half, it was
Delia Letelier who collected a loose ball in the box before putting it past the keeper for the second goal of the day. From there, the Seahawk defense took control, limiting the Crusaders to just six shots on the night.

- The Seahawks were nearly on the board in the fifth minute when Maria Vilhena broke through the back line, but a save by the William Carey keeper kept the game level
- Mio Tanaka's only save of the night came in the 18th minute on a weak attempt by Karen Vilau
- In the 43rd minute, Rub Vernon stole the ball away from a Crusader in the midfield before firing a through ball to Blanca Bächi who was left 1-on-1 with the keeper. Bächi would convert the chance to put KU on the board just before the break
- Just after the start of the second half, Vilhena fed the ball to Delia Letelier whose shot would be blocked in the box. Undeterred, Letelier would pounce on it and punch it in for the 2-0 lead
- Keiser would stay on the front foot, pestering the back line of WCU with continuous runs down the side
- Emilia Nilsson and Nynka Rucker would both take a chance, but each attempt would be saved
- Karine Ørud nearly scored in the 87th minute with a dipping shot from range, but it bounced off the crossbar with the Seahawks settling for the 2-0 win
- Keiser continued their hot start, now 3-0 to start the season
- Thursday's matchup was just the second 1-vs-2 matchup in program history
- The Seahawks have now won two straight against William Carey, a feat last accomplished in 2016
