MGOLF Preview - Invite at Innisbrook (09-29-2025)

No. 3 Men's Golf

No. 3 Men's Golf Heads to Palm Harbor, Florida, for the Invite at Innisbrook

The No. 3-ranked Keiser men's golf team travels to Palm Harbor, Florida, for the Invite at Innisbrook Sept. 29-30 at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club (Copperhead Course - Par 71, 7,195 yards). The 20-team field will feature 12 teams which are in the preseason NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Top 25, including three of the nation's top-5 teams (No. 2 Oklahoma City, No. 3 Keiser, and No. 4 Dalton State).
 
The Seahawks opened the season with a fourth-place finish at the 2025 Seahawk Shootout (Sept. 15-16), posting a 14-over, 878. Played at PGA National's Fazio Course, this year's tournament was won by Eastern Florida State with a 1-under, 863.  Freshman Matus Cedzo (playing as an individual) dominated the field with rounds of 67 (-5), 69 (-3), and 68 (-4) to post a tournament-best 204 (-12). Cedzo claimed medalist honors by six strokes, standing as the only player to finish double digits under par. The tournament was the first win of his Seahawk career. For his play, Cedzo was named the Sun Conference Golfer of the Week (Sept. 22). 

Senior Yann Ferrando paced the squad, tying for fourth individually with a steady 213 (-3), including an opening-round 69 (-3). Jack Peters added a tie for 10th at +2 (218), while Iver Sokhan-Sanj tied for 22nd at 222 (+6).

With the fourth-place finish, Keiser has posted a top-5 finish in eight straight events, dating back to last year.

Cedzo, the Sun Conference Golfer of the Week (Sept. 22), claimed first medalist honor of his career during the 2025 Seahawk Shootout. The first-year Seahawk shot a 12-under (third-lowest, 54-hole total in Keiser history) for a 204 (67-69-68)

2. Yann Ferrando - Jr. / Biscarose, France
Recording the first top-5 finish of his career, Ferrando posted 3-under, 213, at the 2025 Seahawk Shootout. Tallying 11 birdies and one eagle, Ferrando placed tied for fourth among 87 golfers

3. Jack Peters - So. / Ballyclare, Northern Ireland
Peters opened the 2025-26 season with his first top-10 finish as a Seahawk, placing tied for 10th during the 2025 Seahawk Shootout. With seven birdies, Peters registered a tournament-high two eagles

4. Fridtjof Farhang - Fr. / Oslo, Norway
Farhang made his Keiser debut at the 2025 Seahawk Shootout. The native of Oslo, Norway, shot a 4-over, 220, to place tied for 17th two weeks ago

5. Iver Sokhan-Sanj - So. / Lorenskog, Norway
Recording 37 par putts and six birdies, Sokhan-Sanj opened the 2025-26 campaign with a 6-over, 222, at the 2025 Seahawk Shootout. The second-year Seahawk placed tied for 22nd in a field of 87 golfers

Bjorge made his Keiser debut two weeks ago at the 2025 Seahawk Shootout. He shot a 10-over, 226, to finish thie for 39th
