The No. 2-ranked Keiser Seahawks improved to 3-0 on the season with a 42-12 win at (rv) Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday afternoon.
The Seahawks jumped out to 21-0 lead in the first quarter and coasted to a 30-point victory over the Patriots, who dropped to 2-1.
Wide receiver
Dallas Desouza caught four passes for 42 yards and two scores. The native of West Palm Beach recorded his first score as a Seahawk with a 23-yard touchdown reception from
Shea Spencer in the first quarter. He followed that up with 10-yard touchdown catch in the second.
Maurico Porcha posted a team-best 92 yards receiving, including a 71-yard touchdown pass from Spencer.
Elisha Edwards had a team-high seven catches for 45 yards.
Spencer finished the day with 222 yards passing on 19-of-30 passes, including three touchdowns.
On the ground,
Dillon Simon posted 80 yards on eight carries with one rushing touchdown while
Jaden Miller found the endzone two times on 16 carries for 69 yards.
The Seahawks out-gained the Patriots, 415-246 in total offense, with a 193-73 edge on the ground and a 22-173 edge through the air.
Defensively, the Seahawks tied a program record for tackles for loss, registering 14.0 versus the Patriots. Defensive back,
Malik Razz led all Keiser players with nine tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss.
