Four Seahawks Selected for CSC Academic All-District Honors

The 2025 Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), were announced on Tuesday. The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Four Seahawks were selected, and now Lizzy Small, Mackenzie Masternak, Genesis Iglesias, and Claire Czajkowski will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot to be voted on by CSC members.

Claire Czajkowski, Fourth Year, 3B, Murfreesboro, Tenn.
  • Achieved a 4.0 GPA while pursuing her MBA
  • Played and started in 53 games 
  • Batted .302 with 18 doubles, one triple, 46 RBI, and led the team with five home runs
  • Scored 14 runs
  • 2-2 on stolen bases
  • Recorded 59 putouts with 96 assists
  • Honored as Second Team All-Sun Conference
Genesis Iglesias, Second Year, SS, Orlando, Fla.
  • Earned a 3.66 GPA in Biomedical Sciences
  • Played and started in 53 games
  • Scored 38 runs, and stole 10 bases
  • Led the team with 47 RBI and 60 hits
  • Logged 16 doubles, three triples, and two home runs
  • Walked 20 times
  • Batted .366, highest on the team
  • Recorded 83 putouts and 154 assists
  • Named First Team All-Sun Conference
Mackenzie Masternak, Third Year, P, Sparta, NJ.
  • Achieved a 4.0 GPA in Psychology
  • Appeared in 31 games
  • Recorded a 17-7 record
  • Logged 158.2 innings pitched, with 76 strikeouts, two shutouts, and 14 complete games
  • Finished with a 1.85 ERA, the lowest in school history
  • First Team All-Sun Conference
Lizzy Small, Fourth Year, P/DH Sarasota, Fla.
  • Attained a 3.85 GPA while earning her degree in Criminal Justice
  • Played and started in 53 games
  • Batted .309 with 46 hits, eight doubles, two triples, and 35 RBI
  • 4-4 on stolen base attempts
  • Scored 18 runs
  • Pitched 99.2 innings with 52 strikeouts
  • Recorded five putouts and 18 assists
