No. 1 Keiser men's lacrosse handled No. 3 Reinhardt in the AAC Semifinal game. The Seahawks were led by freshman
Ryan Stowell who collected five points in the contest; Badik, Stowell and Prather all netted hat-tricks. Seven different Seahawks scored in today's contest. On the defensive end,
Lucas Green made 10 saves, while nine different Seahawks caused at least one turnover. Keiser handed Reinhardt its second loss of the season to advance to the AAC Championship Game.
Keiser will face The University of Cumberlands (Ky.) in the AAC Championship game, Saturday, April 26, at 1:00 p.m. from Lupo Family Field.
Keiser 4, RU 4
- JP Prather put the Seahawks on the board first at 14:07
- At 10:43, Benjamin Shackelford found Luke Greer to even things up
- Reid McDowell and Gavin Sun connected for an RU goal at 7:11
- RU scored back-to-back goals from Tyrique Robinson and Greer to extend their lead with 4:28 to go
- Kegan Hufford found Ryan Stowell put an end to the run with a goal at 2:27
- With a minute to go, Stowell found the back of the net to cut RU's lead to one
- Prather evened the scored with 23 seconds left in the first with a diving goal
Keiser 6, RU 5
- Greer opened the second quarter with a solo goal with 10:06 to go
- Hufford scored the equalizer with 4:56 left in the second
- Ryan Rundle found Vincent Cerasuolo, who utilized a man-up opportunity to give the Seahawks a one-goal lead before the half
- Lucas Green made three saves in the quarter, while the Seahawks caused three turnovers
Keiser 14, RU 6
- The Eagles scored after the the break, as Reid McDowell evened the score at six with 12:38 left to go
- At 11:37, Stowell collected his hat-trick on a solo goal
- Cerasuolo found Badik at 10:30 to extend the Seahawks lead to two
- Kyle Davis found Braeden Niemy which lead to him netting his first goal of the game to make it 9-6 Seahawks
- To extend the lead to four, Stowell found AJ Badik with 5:15 remaining in the quarter
- Rundle collected his third assist of the game when Davis netted his first of the game
- Less than 30 seconds later, collected his hat-trick at 3:27 fot the six goal lead
- Prather netted his hat-trick with 2:19 on the clock, 13-6 KU
- With nine seconds remaining in the third quarter, Davis scored his second goal of the game when Matt Sheehy found him down low
Keiser , RU 8
- To open up the final quarter of play, Prather collected his fourth-goal of the game
- Keiser continued to extend their lead to 10 when Hufford found the back of the net
- RU finally put an end to the Seahawks run with a solo-goal from Carter Garrison
- At 9:59 Stowell netted his fourth goal of the game to bring the lead back to 10
- After a couple minutes of play, Caleb Bracewell cut the lead to nine
- Keiser collected their third win over Reindhardt
- The Seahawks are now 6-2 all-time in postseason play
- This marks Head Coach Jeff Desko's second AAC postseason win
- Ryan Stowell matched his career-high five points
- JP Prather and Stowell combined for eight goals
