No. 1 Keiser men's lacrosse smothered Montreat College (N.C.) extending their win streak this season to five. Twelve different Seahawks scored on the day, with Ryan Rundle leading the team, scoring five goals, while Braeden Niemy and Ryan Stowell combined for seven. Defender Jackson Marshall excelled on both sides of the field today as he netted two goals while collecting five groundballs and one caused-turnover. The Seahawks have done it again, as they out-shot their opponent 52-15. Keiser broke the school record today for groundball pick-ups as they collected 64. 


The Seahawks return home next Thursday March 13 as they face #4 University of the Cumberlands (Ky.). The opening face-off is set for 6:00 PM at Keiser's Multi Purpose Field. 

First Quarter
Keiser 8, MC 0
  • Forty seconds into the game, Ryan Rundle started the Seahawks off
  • About three minutes later, Rundle had already completed a hat-trick, giving KU the 3-0 lead
  • At 5:17, defender Jackson Marshall buried a goal off a look from Zach Crotwell 
  • Less than a minute later, Kegan Hufford found Vincent Cerasuolo to continue pushing the lead, 7-0
  • Before the quarter ended, Marshall found the back of the net once again 

Second Quarter
Keiser 15, MC 0
  • JP Prather opened the second quarter with an assist from Cerasuolo at 13:23 on the clock 
  • After a failed clear attempt from the Cavaliers, Marek Albiero found Braeden Niemy for the 10-0 lead
  • At 10:07, Niemy netted his hat-trick off of a man-up opportunity
  • The Seahawks continued to extend their lead with goals from, Albiero, AJ Badik, and Ryan Stowell before the half for a 15-0 game
  • Cole Nappi was 5-of-5 in the face-off circle before the half
  • Keiser's defense locked down Montreat, as Logan Patrick led with three casued-turnovers, and Marshall collected four groundballs

Third Quarter
Keiser 19, MC 2
  • Badik opened the second half with a solo goal at 12:48
  • Thirty-two seconds later, Rundle found Niemy, for the 17-0 lead
  • At 3:53, Montreat's Yasiel Sihombing found the back of the net to stop the Seahawks run, 18-1
  • Rundle and MC's Gavin Mottram exchanged goals before the quarter ended, 19-2 

Fourth Quarter
Keiser 24, MC 4
  • Hufford opened the final quarter of play with a goal of his own for the 18-goal lead
  • After exchanging several possessions, Montreat scored with 8:37 remaining of play 
  • Keiser's last three goals came from Trey Bowen, Aidan Irvin, and Chris Carpenter as they collected their first goals of the season 
  • With 2:24 remaining in the game, Eli King found Landon Lagro for the final goal of the game, 24-4

  • Keiser improves to 5-0 in the regular season 
  • The Seahawks are now 2-0 in conference play 
  • 12 different Seahawks scored today
  • Ryan Rundle led in scoring with five
