No. 1 Keiser men's lacrosse took down (rv) SCAD-Savannah 21-9 on the road in Hardeeville, S.C. The Seahawks were led offensively by AJ Badik and Ryan Rundle as they combined for eight goals; followed by Vincent Cerasuolo and Braeden Niemy who had three apiece. Keiser locked down SCAD, holding them to only nine goals. This is the sixth opponent Keiser has held to single digit goals. 

The Seahawks are on the road again as they face No. 5 Reinhardt University. The opening face-off is set for Friday March 28th at 1:00 PM.

First Quarter
Keiser 6, SCAD 4
  • SCAD opened the scoring early, but less than a minute later AJ Badik netted his first of the night with 12:55 remaining in the first 
  • Mason Hickman and Vincent Cerasuolo exchanged goals for a tied game with 8:17 on the clock 
  • Badik found Braeden Niemy who scored on a man-up opportunity to give the Seahawks their first lead of the game
  • Hickman found the back of the net again to tie the game  with 6:18 left 
  • The Seahawks went on a three goal run, as Niemy, JP Prather and Badik brought back the Keiser lead
  • With 1:33 left to go, Hickman collected his hat-trick to bring the Bees within two, 6-4
Second Quarter
Keiser 9 , SCAD 4
  • After a few minutes of play, Ryan Rundle netted his first goal from an assist by Shane Cassidy 
  • At 8:28 Vincent Cerasuolo found Kegan Hufford for his seventh goal of the season, for the 8-4 Keiser lead
  • With 39 seconds remaining, Prather collected his second goal of the game to extend the Seahawks lead to five 
  • Going into the half, Jackson Marshall and Zach Crotwell had three groundballs apiece 
  • The Seahawks held the Bees scoreless in the second quarter 

Third Quarter
Keiser 17, SCAD 7
  • To open up the third quarter of play, Crotwell found Niemy as he collected his hat-trick, 10-4 
  • Less than a minute later, Prather connected with Rundle as Rundle scored his 24th goal of the season
  • At 13:24, Badik netted his hat-trick off a lone goal to extend Keiser's lead to seven 
  • With 10:01 to go, Prather collected his second assist as he found Badik as the Seahawks continued to dominate 
  • The Seahawks lead was brought to 10 as Cerasuolo found the back of the net, 14-4 
  • SCAD put an end to the run, as Hickman scored his fourth goal of the game with 6:41 remaining 
  • Marek Albiero collected his seventh goal of the season to bring the Seahawks lead back to 10, 15-5
  • Noah Moreland cut the lead to nine with 4:44 remaining 
  • Albiero and Rundle both netted solo goals to make the game 17-6 
  • With 12 seconds remaining in the quarter, Evan Baker brought the Bees within 10 once again 

Fourth Quarter
Keiser 21, SCAD 9
  • SCAD's Hickman opened the scoring in the fourth quarter, 17-8
  • The Seahawks went on a three goal run, as Rundle, Tim Manly and Cole Nappi all scored; Nappi's goal marked the first of his season 
  • With 7:17 on the clock, Baker scored once again as the Seahawks still led 20-9 
  • The final goal of the game, came from Cerasuolo with 50 seconds remaining 

Game Notes
  • Keiser improves to 7-0 in the regular season 
  • The Seahawks are now 4-0 in conference play 
  • Four Seahawks netted hat-tricks
  • Ryan Rundle, AJ Badik and Vincent Cerasuolo combined for 15 points 
  • Cole Nappi netted his first goal of the season 
  • Zach Crotwell led the Seahawks and had a career-high six groundballs 
  • Crotwell also led the Seahawks in caused-turnovers with three 
  • The Seahawks totaled 40 groundballs on the night
  • Keiser tied their season-high 37 points 
  • Nappi was 12-of-16 in the face-off circle 
  • Lucas Green and James Boyer combined for seven saves 
  • KU out-shot SCAD 48-27
