- No. 2 Talbi would best No. 10 Cato Tangkau for the Bee's lone point of the day on court one
- Vidanovic followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win on court five to make it 3-0
- No. 24 de Mooij clinched the win for KU with a 6-4, 6-2 win on court two
- Velykorodna and Mercante were nearly done with their matches when the clinch happened
When asked about today's result, Head Coach
Daniel Finn had this to say: "Overall, a good win against an underrated team. We knew going in they had a good team and would need to be focused, and we did a good job today playing solid doubles and singles."
On the team handling a lineup change, "nothing more than just some outside factors we needed to get past. I thought the girls did a good job of handling themselves and staying composed in the big moments, and the scores reflected it in the end.
The Seahawks will be back on the road for a pair of Sun Conference matchups against Warner and Southeastern this weekend. Friday's match against Warner is set for 2:00 p.m. in Babson Park, Fla.
