The Keiser flag football team continues its road swing with a pair of Sun Conference games in the state of Georgia this week. The Seahawks will head ot Marietta, Georgia, on Tuesday, March 18 to take on the Life (Ga.) Running Eagles followed by a visit to Thomasville, Georgia on Wednesday to take on the Thomas (Ga.) Night Hawks.
The Seahawks dominated the competition this past weekend, improving the team's record to 7-0. Out-scoring the opposition 174-0, the Seahawks extended their streak of quarters without allowing a score to 15.
The Seahawks opened the weekend with first-time opponent Pasco-Hernando State on Friday, March 14. Led by
Haylie Young's school-record seven passing touchdowns, the Seahawks dismantled Bobcats, 68-0.
Kennedy Foster tied her school record for receiving catches in a game with four.
On Saturday, the Seahawks continued to put on an offensive clinic as Young completed 16-of-19 passes for 179 yards and five passing touchdowns.
Brenna Ramirez had three TD catches while
Ashlea Klam produced 93 yards receiving which included a 66-yard touchdown catch. Keiser defeated UCF (club), 52-0. It marked the team's third straight shutout.
The blanking didn't stop there as later that day, Keiser defeated Daytona State, 54-0. The Seahawks jumped out to a quick 20-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Young added to her weekend total, tossing four more TD passes. Klam had three receiving touchdowns while garnering 88 yards.
