No. 25 Keiser men's basketball claimed their first Sun Conference Regular Season Championship since 2015 with their 94-53 win over Coastal Georgia on Saturday night. The Seahawks were led by seniors Vincent Miszkiewicz and Chris Roth who each tallied 17 points on the evening. Miszkiewicz also led the team with nine rebounds and two blocks. The remaining senior starters combined for 30 points with Albert Dennis, Cameron Stitt, and Tylar Cerez all included in the starting lineup. In his first career game off the bench, Calvin Sirmans dished out a team-high nine assists and tied for the team lead with three steals.

Before the game, Keiser honored their six seniors (Oxo Schreiber, Albert Dennis, Cameron Stitt, Chris Roth, Tylar Cerez, and Vincent Miszkiewicz) for all of their contributions to the program.

Keiser will now host the semifinal and championship of the Sun Conference Tournament being held on February 28 and March 1. The times for the semifinals will be 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Friday with the championship game scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
 


The Seahawks scored 17 straight over four minutes in the first half to open the lead to 21 points.

Keiser 47, CCGA 19

• It was an all-senior starting five for the Seahawks as Tylar Cerez made his first appearance of the season
• Albert Dennis put Keiser on the board with a layup that started a 12-4 run capped by an alley-oop dunk from Dennis to Vincent Miszkiewicz
• The Seahawks would continue the run with 13 straight points as Chris Roth splashed home his second three of the game with 11:39 showing
• Coastal would finally get a basket with 9:47 on the clock, but the Seahawks would score 15 of the next 19 points to take a 40-11 lead
• Jackson Kennedy would get the last bucket of the first half as Keiser went into the break leading by 28

• The second half brought an alley-oop party for Keiser who tallied four of them in the half
• When Sirmans connected with Miszkiewicz at the 11:58 mark, Keiser was leading 66-40
• A pair of threes by Chris Roth sent the Student Life Center into a frenzy as their lead quickly grew to 37
• With 1:56 remaining, Oxo Schreiber got on the board with a strong take to the basket
• Tylar Cerez followed with a three-pointer from deep to make sure all of the seniors got in the scorers book, with Keiser finishing the game in dominant fashion
