No. 25 Keiser men's basketball solidified their spot as hosts of the 2025 Sun Conference Tournament on Wednesday night with a 75-57 win over No. 20 Florida Memorial. The Seahawks were dominant from the start, leading by 18 points within the first ten minutes.
Tyreon Payne led the Seahawks in scoring with 19 points on the evening, going 9-of-12 from the free throw line.
Vincent Miszkiewicz finished just behind him with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and seven blocks.
Cameron Stitt and
Albert Dennis led Keiser into the half and finished with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Calvin Sirmans secured his 10th assist of the night on the last basket of the game. FMU came into the game averaging 82 points scored but was held to their second fewest points on Wednesday night.
Keiser will finish the regular season at home on Saturday, needing a win to clinch the Sun Conference Regular Season Title outright. Tipoff from the Student Life Center against Coastal Georgia is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

Keiser took control of the momentum of the game early in the first with a 19-0 run that spanned nearly six minutes and put the Seahawks ahead by 16.

- Keiser started the game with Calvin Sirmans picking off a pass and finding Albert Dennis on the alley-oop at the other end of the floor
- The Lions would counter with a pair of baskets to take the 5-4 lead with 17:28 showing
- 15 seconds later, Dennis would put KU back in front, kicking off a 19-0 run that lasted nearly six minutes
- FMU would close the gap, but a dunk from Malik Kabia would put Keiser back up by 16 with under eight minutes to play
- The Lions followed with eight straight points but Tyreon Payne and Cameron Stitt each tallied layups to put KU up by 12
- Payne would get fouled just before the half and give Keiser a 13-point lead going to the break with a pair of free throws

- Stitt got the scoring started in the second on an alley oop slam from Sirmans to keep the momentum rolling
- The two teams would trade baskets before an alley-oop off an inbound from Sirmans to Vincent Miszkiewicz put Keiser up 15 with under 16 minutes in the game
- Keiser's lead would grow to 22 over the next five minutes as the Seahawks protected the ball and went a perfect 6-of-6 from the line
- Florida Memorial would use their last push to cut the lead to 15 with 2:34 showing but the Seahawks would go to the line and hit six of their last nine to seal the win

- Keiser moves to 23-4 on the year, tying their win total from the 2019-20 season
- The Seahawks are now 13-2 in Sun Conference action and secured the top spot and hosting rights in the Sun Conference Tournament with the win
- At worst, KU clinched a share of the SUN Regular Season Title but can claim it outright with a win on Saturday
- The defense once again showed out for the Seahawks who held the Lions 25 points below their season average
- It was just the second time all season that FMU failed to reach 60 points in a game
- On the offensive end, Keiser had four players in double figures, led by Payne's 19 points
- Vincent Miszkiewicz recorded his 47th double-double at Keiser with 16 points and 12 rebounds
- He also tied his career high of seven blocks in the game
- Sirmans hit double-digit assists for the 11th time in his career with 10 assists on the night
- Payne also led the team with four steals on the night, tying the second most steals this season for the guard
- Normally a strong part of the defense, Dennis recorded a season-high 12 points on the evening on 5-of-6 shooting
- Keiser did win the rebounding battle against one of the other top rebounding teams in the NAIA, 38-36
- For the second game in a row, the Seahawks only turned the ball over eight times
