No. 15 Keiser men's basketball overcame a four-point halftime deficit to defeat Fort Lauderdale 86-79 on Friday night at the Student Life Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. With the win, Head Coach Marcus "Chief" Bryant reached the milestone of 100 wins in his career.

The first half belonged to the visitors as Fort Lauderdale jumped out to an early 10-3 lead behind back-to-back three-pointers from Body II and Berry. The Seahawks clawed back to tie the game at 25 on a Loghan Downie layup with 6:58 remaining, but Fort Lauderdale answered with a 6-2 run to regain control. The Buccaneers took a 41-37 advantage into the break behind 12 points from Adrian Body II. The turning point came early in the second half after Fort Lauderdale extended its lead to nine with 16:28 remaining. Keiser responded with a methodical 17-7 run over the next five minutes. Slater's three-pointer at 15:33 ignited the comeback, cutting the deficit to six and shifting momentum in the Seahawks' favor. From there, Keiser never trailed again.

Camerin James was absolutely dominant, finishing with a game-high 27 points while converting a remarkable 13-of-14 from the free-throw line. In the second half alone, he scored 17 of his 27 points and finished the game with five rebounds. Cameron Baldwin recorded his first double-double as a Seahawk with 13 points and 11 rebounds while protecting the rim with four blocked shots. Jackson Slater once again was efficient in leading the offense, dishing out seven assists while adding 13 points including two clutch three-pointers. Jonathan Paul was perfect from the field, going 5-of-5 for 11 points in just 18 minutes off the bench.

In the end, the advantage came from the charity stripe as Keiser attempted 35 free throws compared to Fort Lauderdale's 23. The Seahawks converted at an 80.0% clip, with James and Slater combining for 20-of-22 from the line. Keiser also dominated the glass, out-rebounding Fort Lauderdale 41-28 including a crucial 14-8 advantage on the offensive end. Keiser's defense forced 21 turnovers and converted them into 21 points.

The Seahawks return to action in just over a week when they host Thomas on Saturday, December 13, at the Student Life Center. Tipoff in West Palm Beach is set for 5:30 p.m.
