Keiser men's basketball came back from a nine-point halftime deficit to defeat Florida College 87-77 on Tuesday evening at the Student Life Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. The victory improved the Seahawks to 11-1 overall and kept their perfect home record intact at 9-0.

Florida College came out firing in the first half, building a comfortable 41-32 lead by intermission behind an explosive shooting performance. The Falcons connected on 66.7% of their shots from three-point range in the opening period, with Malik Beauford leading the charge with 15 first-half points. However, the second half belonged entirely to Keiser.

The turning point came midway through the second period when the Seahawks seized control with a 14-2 run that erased the deficit and shifted momentum in their favor. Jackson Slater ignited the surge with a fast-break layup at 15:09, followed by Loghan Downie's transition three-pointer just 15 seconds later to tie the game at 51-51. Downie struck again moments later with another three-pointer to give Keiser its first lead since early in the game. The game would then end up in a tug-of-war with both teams battling for the lead. A pair of layups from Cameron Baldwin with under five minutes to go gave the Seahawks the breathing room they needed as they closed out the game with a strong defensive hold.

Keiser will be off until the new year when they take on the New College of Florida Mighty Banyans on Saturday, January 3. Tipoff from the Sudent Life Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. is set for 4:00 p.m.
