Carlson and Lologo Named 2025 AP All-Americans

The Associated Press (AP) announced its 2025 AP NAIA  All-America Teams this week as selected by by a panel of sports information directors and the AP. 

Two Seahawks were recognized by the AP for their play during the 2024 season as senior Tyler Carlson was named to the first team, and senior Tai Lologo honored as second-teamer.
 

AP First-Team All-American

Tyler CarlsonTyler Carlson, Third Year, OL Key West, Fla.
  • Earned First-Team AP All-America honors for the first time
  • Named a Second-Team AFCA All-American for the first time in his career
  • Became the third Seahawks to earn SUN Offensive Lineman of the Year recognition (Jude Guerrier in 2024, Scarlee Jean in 2023)
  • Named a First-Team All-Sun Conference selection for the first time in his career
  • Started in all 11 games at left tackle
  • Has helped the Keiser offense average 501.6 yards per game (No. 6 in the NAIA)
  • The Seahawks produced over 400 yards of total offense in every game this season
  • On the ground, the Seahawks leads the SUN averaging 211.2 yards per game, ranking No. 11 in the NAIA
  • Keiser is also the top passing team in the league with 290.5 yards per game, ranking No. 10 in the NAIA
  • The Seahawks rushed for a school-record 398 yards versus Thomas (Ga.) (10/4)
  • The Keiser offense also set the school record for total offense (692 vs Thomas – 10/4)
  • KU reached the 500-yard plateau in five games (692 – TU – 10/4; 517 – STU – 10/18; 532 – AMU – 11/1; 566 – WU – 11/15, 527 - COI - 12/13)
  • The Seahawks are No. 11 in the NAIA is scoring (41.5 ppg)
 

AP Second-Team All-American

  • Earned AP All-America honors for the first time
  • Named a First-Team AFCA All-American for the first time in his career
  • Collected Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season
  • Marks the fourth conference defensive player of the Year award in Keiser history
  • Became the first Seahawk to win the Sun Conference Defensive Lineman of the Year award
  • Named a First-Team All-Sun Conference selection for the second straight year
  • Appeared in all 11 games for the Seahawks
  • Has recorded 24 total tackles with 9.0 tackles for loss and three sacks
  • Also has two quarterback hurries, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery
  • Collected the first interception of his Keiser career with a pick against Thomas (Ga.) (10/4)
  • Anchored a Keiser defense that has allowed 16.8 points per game (tied for No. 10 in the NAIA)
  • His play on the line has helped the Seahawks produce the eighth-best passing defense in the nation, allowing 163.64 yards per game
  • Keiser has not allowed a team to throw for over 300 yards all season
  • Keiser's defense ranks No. 22 in the nation in total yards allowed (313.7 ypg)
  • Lologo and the Keiser defense has produced 65 tackles for loss and 14 sacks on the season
  • The Seahawks have held the opposition under 300 yards of total offense six times, including a season-low 190 versus St. Thomas (10/18)
  • Keiser recorded the program's seventh shutout in program history (45-0 vs WIU – 10/25), holding the Warriors to 199 yards of total offense
 

The Seahawks will travel to Fort Worth, Texas, to take on No. 1 Grand View in the 2025 NAIA National Championship Game on Saturday, December 20. Kickoff from the Crowley ISD Multipurpose Stadium is set for 1:00 PM ET.
