Keiser men's basketball left little doubt in its home opener Monday night, using an explosive first half to roll past South Florida Bible College 114–62 at the Student Life Center in West Palm Beach.
The Seahawks came out firing from the opening tip, turning defense into offense and setting the tone with their ball movement and perimeter shooting. After a few early exchanges, Cameron Baldwin sent the Student Life Center into a frenzy with a ferocious slam following a steal. The Seahawks then erupted on a 25–4 run fueled by a string of three-pointers from Loghan Downie and Santiago Henriquez, along with transition finishes from Camerin James and Jaylen Lee. By the midway point of the first half, the Seahawks were firmly in control and carried a commanding 61-30 lead into the break behind 66.7 percent shooting and seven made threes.
Keiser's depth took over in the second half, as the bench poured in 62 points overall. Henriquez led the way with 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting, while Lee and Downie each added 14. James contributed 14 points, six rebounds, and a block, and Braylen Meredith came off the bench to record a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards.
The Seahawks' ball movement was crisp all night, producing 24 assists on 42 made field goals. Defensively, Keiser's pressure forced 19 SFBC turnovers, leading directly to 29 points on the other end. The Rams managed just 34.8 percent shooting from the field and 27.6 percent from long range, struggling to keep pace with Keiser's efficiency and tempo.
