No. 25 Keiser men's basketball earned its first win of the season Saturday afternoon, edging Mobile 75–72 in a neutral-site matchup at the Eagles' Nest. The Seahawks shot 50 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from beyond the arc, using a balanced offensive attack to hold off a late Ram rally. Jaylen Lee led all scorers with 25 points, connecting on four three-pointers and hitting 7-of-9 from the free-throw line. Camerin James followed with 15 points, eight rebounds, and three assists, while Loghan Downie posted 12 points, nine rebounds, and three assists in a strong all-around performance. Keiser led 35–32 at halftime after back-to-back triples from Downie and Jackson Slater, who finished with nine points. The Seahawks built their largest lead of 11 midway through the second half and held firm down the stretch as Mobile pushed to within one possession in the closing minutes. However, the Seahawks remained composed at the foul line and came up with key defensive stops to seal the win.
Keiser will head home and have more than a week off before facing South Florida Bible College in the home opener on Monday, November 10. Tipoff from the Student Life Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. is set for 4:00 p.m.
