Double-Double Domination: Worsham and Dills Fuel 3-1 Victory over Southeastern

LAKELAND, Fla. — Keiser volleyball turned in one of its most complete performances of the season Saturday afternoon, taking down Southeastern in four sets, 3-1 (25-22, 25-23, 17-25, 26-24), inside The Furnace. With the win, the Seahawks improved to 11-10 overall and 6-6 in Sun Conference play while handing the Fire just their third loss of the year.

Led by Cece Worsham, who recorded a season-high 23 kills to go along with 20 digs for her sixth double-double of the year. Worsham was electric throughout the match, coming up clutch in key moments and setting the tone for the team's balanced attack.

Keiser battled back from an early deficit to take the opening set, 25-22, behind a strong offensive push from Cece Worsham and Isabella Steffel. Worsham's service ace and key kills midway through the frame helped swing the momentum, while late blocks from Mallory Dills and Steffel sealed the win. The Seahawks' balanced attack set the tone early, giving them a 1-0 lead in the match.

Keiser edged out Southeastern in another tight battle, taking the second set 25-23 to go up 2-0 in the match. The Seahawks found their rhythm midway through the frame with a key service run from Amie Molina and kills from Cece Worsham and Valcourt that flipped the score in their favor. Late in the set, Worsham, Isabella Steffel, and Aubree Valcourt each came through with clutch points as Keiser closed on a 6-4 run to secure the win.

After dropping the third set, the Seahawks closed out the match with a resilient 26-24 win in the fourth set, sealing the 3-1 victory over the Fire.The Seahawks traded points for most of the frame before clutch kills from Cece Worsham and Aubree Valcourt helped them pull ahead late. After the Fire tied the set at 24, Keiser responded with back-to-back kills from Valcourt and Makenzi Bennett to complete the win.

Valcourt turned in one of her most efficient performances of the season with 15 kills and a team-best .345 hitting percentage, while Steffel added 14 kills and four block assists. Keiser's defense was just as sharp, tallying 98 digs and eight team blocks. Makenzi Bennett led the back row with 21 digs, while Faith Marquis and Paryss Betts added key defensive contributions to keep plays alive. Setter Mallory Dills guided the offense with precision, finishing with a season-high 60 assists while adding 16 digs and five block assists. Her distribution kept Southeastern guessing all afternoon, leading to four Seahawks finishing in double figures in kills.

As a team, Keiser finished with 66 kills, 65 assists, and 98 digs while holding Southeastern to a .179 hitting percentage.
