• Eloise de Mooij and Isabela Mercante would get the clinching point over Mercedes Chasset and Ivet Prat on court two
• Court three would start their final point just before the clinch and finish their match with Liza Velykorodna and Vanja Vidanovic defeating Julia Richardet and Honoka Tsuji, 6-3

• No. 1 Apisah made singles go by in a flash with a 6-0, 6-0 win on court one over No. 19 Alcala
• No. 5 Cato Tangkau made it 3-0 on court twp with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Gjos
• Singles would finish similar to doubles, with two courts finishing nearly simultaneously
• Mercante would technically get the clinching point on court five with her 6-1, 6-2 win over Prat
• No. 6 de Mooij would finish her match seconds later with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Berne
• Vidanovic and Velykorodna would both be up a set when the match was clinched

When asked about today's result, Head Coach Daniel Finn had this to say: "In any tournament, the first day is always the hardest, especially if you throw in indoor tennis, which our team is definitely not acustomed to. That said, I'm really proud of the girls and the way they came out of the gate immediately and went after their opponents, and it showed in the scores. Definitely happy with the leadership that Violet showed today, dominating on court and just heading to town for the rest of the girls. But across the board, everybody did a good job bringing their energy and focus and making sure the job got done. We know we're going to have another tough battle ahead of us tomorrow."




The Seahawks will face the winner of No. 3 Xavier (La.) and No. 5 Middle Georgia State in the ITA NAIA National Women's Team Indoor Semifinal on Saturday, February 1.
