When asked about today's result, Head Coach
Daniel Finn had this to say: "Happy with the performance by the girls today. We knew Xavier would come out and compete all the way through. I thought the girls did a great job of handling every push they got from them. Just an overall strong team performance today."
On every player contributing to wins, "That's been our talking point since we got here. This is a business trip, and everyone needs to do their job for us to get what we want. The girls did a great job today, 1-6, making sure it got done."
On returning players sharing their experience for the final, "Violet and Vanja were major parts of the team that won this thing back in 2023. They are leaders for this team and will have to do that again tomorrow. That team back in 2023 trusted each other and fought for each other that day and came through. Tomorrow the ladies will need to do the same, and Violet and Vanja both will use their experience to help lead them. Tomorrow is another battle ahead of us, but this is the business we came here for, and everyone is ready to get after it."
The Seahawks will face Georgia Gwinnett in a rematch of the 2023 ITA NAIA National Women's Team Indoor Championship on Sunday, February 2.
