No. 15 Keiser men's basketball fell short in their comeback attempt against No. 22 Florida Memorial on Saturday evening in West Palm Beach. The Seahawks were able to cut the once 19-point lead down to just seven but were not able to finish the effort in the end. The matchup of the game did not disappoint with two of the top rebounders in the NAIA,
Vincent Miszkiewicz and Latavious Mitchell, putting on a show down low. Miszkiewicz finished with the edge in the stat sheet, compiling 18 points and 22 rebounds.
The Seahawks will be away from home for the next two games, beginning with a game on Saturday, January 22, against Coastal Georgia. Tipoff from the Coffin Gym in Brunswick, Ga. is set for 7:30 p.m.
Vincent Miszkiewicz cut the lead to seven with a steal and slam at the 1:35 mark, but it was Calvin Payton who iced the game for the Lions with an easy layup on the other end that kept Florida Memorial's lead intact down the stretch.

- Keiser responded with a Malik Kabia three that started a 7-0 run, capped by a steal and layup from Calvin Sirmans
- Florida Memorial rattled off eight straight before a fast-break slam and-1 from Kabia cut the lead to 23-18 with 7:59 to play in the first
- Latavious Mitchell led the Lions into the break with seven of their 16 final points of the half before a Sirmans jumper at the buzzer made it 39-27 FMU
Florda Memorial 80, Keiser 72
- The second half started with a slower pace, but Florida Memorial extended their lead to 47-31 with 14:03 on the clock
- Keiser cut into the lead with an 8-0 run to reduce the deficit to 10 with just over 10 minutes to play
- After eight straight from the Lions, Keiser took back the momentum on a 12-4 run capped by a Miszkiewicz block on one end of the floor and a layup on the other with 5:42 to play
- FMU would once again extend their lead with a 10-5 run over the next three minutes
- A quick six points from Jackson Slater had the momentum turning for KU as the lead was down to nine with 2:03 still to play
- Keiser would get as close as seven, but the Lions would close out the game for the 80-72 win
